Lift installation to reduce manual handling and FLT activity whilst increasing productivity in the warehouse.
NHS Supply Chain provides patient-focused healthcare products and supply chain services to more than 1,000 NHS trusts and healthcare organisations.
NHS required a goods lift installation to replace an old conveyor system to increase productivity and save critical space within the warehouse. Also, to reduce the manual handling of goods and to make the working environment safer for staff by reducing forklift truck movements.
The NHS went through a formal tendering process and decided to place the order with Transdek due to competitive pricing. The results included: More space generated in warehouse due to the compact lift footprint. Reduced FLT movements. Increased productivity. Products can now be picked upstairs and moved to ground floor in cages rather than being picked upstairs, sent to ground floor via conveyor and then loaded into cages.
“Transdek provided a quality and cost-effective solution from conception to implementation. The lift installation was scheduled around our busy working environment and was completed out of normal working hours. The installation team were efficient, professional and hard working. With our exciting growth plans I’m sure we will be doing business with the Transdek team again soon”
