Bespoke mezzanine lift for space-restricted warehouse operation
Started in 1919 with the opening of the first iconic Bettys Café Tea Rooms in Harrogate, nearly 100 years later Bettys & Taylors now boasts six Bettys Café Tea Rooms, a Craft Bakery, a Cookery School and an online shop. The company has also grown to become one of the UK’s most respected tea and coffee merchants.
Due to expansion, Bettys & Taylors acquired an additional warehouse building to store point of sale merchandise and catering equipment. A lift was required to take stock from ground floor to a new, three-metre high mezzanine storage facility. Access to the mezzanine area was in a space-restricted area of the warehouse.
Transdek’s engineering team worked closely with Bettys to design a bespoke, compact mezzanine lift solution for the available space, with a 2300mm x 1500mm platform footprint, and lift gates and shaft ‘feet’ inset to enable clearance.
“The mezzanine lift was quickly fitted, is very robust and really easy to operate. From the sales department to the installation team everyone has provided a highly professional service.”
