Founded in 2004, Smart Storage is one of the leading providers of self storage services in the north west of England and is part of Kangaroo self storage, with units of 10sqft to over 1,000sqft across six locations. The company, which services domestic, business and student customers, has worked with Transdek since 2012
Smart Storage fitted out new upstairs space at its Liverpool self storage facility to cope with increased demand. After a short-term, interim forklift solution, the company chose Transdek to install a lift to service the new mezzanine area, which provides additional storage space and a wider range of unit sizes
Transdek manufactured and installed a customised mezzanine floor lift at the Liverpool site. The lift was designed with a shorter platform and shaft size to fit within the allotted space for the system. Fitted directly on the ground floor in 1.5 days, the lift now provides reliable access to the upstairs units for all customers.
